Psychometric testing is an excellent measure of candidate's intelligence, critical reasoning, emotional quotient, motivation and personality profile. Interviews are fairly complex and target specific job roles and related skills, hence much is left to guess work, for an employer when is comes to personality assessment. A psychometric test aims to provide measurable, relevant and objective data that can highlight a candidate’s suitability. It provides a more fair and accurate way of assessing a candidate, as all applicants will be given a standardised test. Formal education and past experience will not always provide a clear, up-to-date assessment of these personal skills.
