Job Description: Hadoop Architect

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Hadoop Architect to join our team. This is a contract position and requires expertise in various technical areas related to big data management and analysis.

Job Role and Responsibilities:

• Set-up and administer Hadoop platform
• Work with tools like Hive, Spark, HBase, Sqoop, Impala, Kafka, Flume, Oozie, MapReduce, etc.
• Utilize scripting languages such as Java, Scala, Python, etc.
• Design and build Near-Real Time and Batch Data Pipelines
• Work with SQL and Data modeling in Agile development processes
• Handle large and diverse data sets effectively
• Collaborate with team members with diverse skill sets
• Analyze complex problems and provide suitable solutions
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand objectives for Big Data architecture

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably in the financial industry
• Strong expertise in Linux, Hadoop platform, and related tools
• Proficiency in scripting languages and data modeling
• Ability to work with large and varied data sets
• Excellent teamwork, analytical, and communication skills
